Missoula PaddleHeads claimed a 5-3 victory over Glacier Range Riders on Wednesday at Ogren-Allegiance Park, with Jonathan Clark striking out nine batters.
Clark, a former Range Riders pitcher, aged 23, pitched for six innings, allowing three runs on four hits to secure the win. Noah McBride, Arman Sabouri, and Ethan Swanson teamed up to keep Glacier from scoring in the final three innings.
With five consecutive wins, Zootown’s professional baseball team improved their record to 25-7, the best in the Pioneer League. The Range Riders and Boise Hawks are tied for second place with identical records of 20-12.
The PaddleHeads took a 3-0 lead in the first three innings, including a two-run home run by Adam Fogel in the third. Additional runs were added in the fourth with solo home runs by Collin Runge and Josh Elvir, holding off Glacier’s two runs in the fifth.

The PaddleHeads amassed 10 hits compared to the Range Riders’ four. Fogel, Elvir, and Patrick Chung each contributed two hits to the team’s success.
Missoula will face off against Glacier daily through Sunday.
