Caitlin Clark had 15 points, 12 assists, and nine rebounds in the Indiana Fever’s 88-82 victory over the Phoenix Mercury on Sunday.
Clark struggled with her shooting, going 4 of 14 from the field and 2 of 10 from 3-point range. However, she made crucial free throws in the final seconds to secure the win for the Fever, who had trailed by as many as 15 in the first half.
Key baskets from Kelsey Mitchell and free throws from Aliyah Boston helped Indiana take the lead late in the game. NaLyssa Smith also contributed with 12 points and 15 rebounds, while Temi Fagbenle added 10 points for the Fever.

Brittney Griner led the scoring for Phoenix with 24 points, followed by Diana Taurasi with 19 and Natasha Cloud with 15.
Despite a low scoring performance from Kahleah Copper, who faced the challenge of guarding Clark, Phoenix put up a tough fight. The game marked the first meeting between Taurasi and Clark, with the rookie expressing admiration for the veteran player before the matchup.
The Mercury had a strong start but Indiana mounted a comeback, taking the lead in the third quarter. Phoenix rallied in the final period, but Indiana held on for the win.
