BILLINGS — Happy Independence Day! Montana and Wyoming have seen some rain and thunderstorms on Thursday, which has been a welcome relief. The weather will calm down before the fireworks light up the night sky. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday!
A strong ridge of high pressure is dominating much of the West Coast, but for Montana and Wyoming, a few disturbances will limit its influence on Friday and Saturday, bringing isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Temperatures will start to rise over the weekend, staying within normal ranges. Sunday will see a decrease in clouds, with more sunshine expected for most of next week thanks to the high pressure ridge. Highs will climb from the 80s this weekend to the 90s next week.
