The Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas is preparing to close its doors for good as crews work to transform the property into the new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and Guitar Hotel Las Vegas.
Despite this, bettors are flocking to the Mirage casino floor for a chance to win more than a million dollars in prizes that are still available. This is part of the final “Progressive Finale Cash Giveaway.”
Why is the Mirage giving away money?
The Nevada Gaming Control Board requires casinos that are closing or changing ownership to pay out all progressive jackpots before shutting down.
How much money is at stake?
The Mirage is offering over $1.6 million in cash prizes, including $1.2 million in slot machine prizes and $400,000 in table game prizes.
How can you participate?
Players 21 and older who are Unity Card members can play slot machines or qualifying table games on July 12-13 for a chance to win. Winners will be randomly selected every 30 minutes for slots and drawings will take place for table game players.
On July 16, there will be a final opportunity for bettors to win a share of $100,000 in cash prizes on slots.
