Republicans are getting ready for their convention next week, while Democrats are still debating whether President Joe Biden should remain their candidate in the November election.
Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Donald Trump, and first lady Jill Biden are all campaigning in Pennsylvania on Saturday, highlighting the state’s importance to both parties.
Since President Joe Biden’s poor debate performance, Democrats have been discussing whether he should remain their presumptive nominee. Despite calls for him to step aside, Biden has declared his intention to stay in the race.
He is set to virtually meet with members of the two largest Democratic caucuses on Capitol Hill as he aims to regain momentum for his reelection campaign.

Don’t mess with Herb Kohl in Milwaukee
Workers in Milwaukee temporarily renamed a street “Donald J. Trump Way” for the Republican National Convention, inadvertently covering up Herb Kohl Way, a street named after the beloved Democratic U.S. Senator and former owner of the Milwaukee Bucks.
Upon a local television reporter’s discovery of the change, Democratic Mayor Cavalier Johnson requested the organizers to remove the temporary signage, reflecting the growing tension in the Democratic-leaning city ahead of the Republican National Convention.
From banned to back, Facebook lifts restrictions on Trump
Facebook has lifted the restrictions imposed on former President Donald Trump after the January 6 attack, putting him on equal footing with President Joe Biden on the platform.
The initial ban on Trump following the Capitol storming was later eased with some restrictions, but now all restrictions have been lifted by the company, citing the “extreme and extraordinary circumstances” of the Capitol attack.
Facebook believes people should be able to hear from presidential nominees “on the same basis,” according to a company statement.
