Carlos Alcaraz emerged victorious over Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon men’s final on Sunday, securing his fourth Grand Slam title at just 21 years old with a score of 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (4).
This final was a rematch of last year’s championship match on the grass courts of the All England Club, where Alcaraz had triumphed in five sets.
The match took place in front of a packed Centre Court crowd, including Kate, the Princess of Wales, who made a rare public appearance since announcing her battle with cancer. Alcaraz dominated the match, although he faced a slight stumble while holding three match points at 5-4 in the third set.
Nevertheless, Alcaraz quickly regained his composure and clinched his second major title in a row following his victory at the French Open last month.

The talented Spaniard had previously claimed his first Slam title at the 2022 U.S. Open as a teenager, setting a record for the most Slam titles won before the age of 22.
With a flawless record of 4-0 in major finals, Alcaraz solidified his status as a dominant force in the tennis world.
On the other hand, 37-year-old Djokovic, sporting a gray sleeve on his surgically repaired right knee, fell short in his pursuit of an eighth Wimbledon title and record 25th major title overall. Following a meniscus tear at Roland Garros in early June and subsequent surgery in Paris, Djokovic struggled to perform at his peak level during the final against Alcaraz.
Despite Djokovic’s challenges, Alcaraz’s exceptional performance played a crucial role in sealing his victory at Wimbledon.
