Carlos Alcaraz emerged victorious against Novak Djokovic with a score of 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (4) in the Wimbledon men’s final on Sunday, securing his fourth Grand Slam title at the young age of 21.
This final was a repeat of last year’s championship game at the All England Club, where Alcaraz triumphed in five sets.
The Centre Court audience, including Princess Kate, witnessed Alcaraz’s dominant performance until a slight stumble when he held three match points while serving for the win at 5-4 in the third set.
Despite the setback, Alcaraz remained composed and secured his second consecutive major title after his victory at the French Open last month.

The Spanish player clinched his first Grand Slam title at the 2022 U.S. Open as a teenager, setting a record for the most Slam titles won before the age of 22.
With a perfect 4-0 record in major finals, Alcaraz continues to impress on the big stage.
On the other hand, the 37-year-old Djokovic, sporting a gray sleeve on his surgically repaired knee, fell short in his quest for an eighth Wimbledon title and record 25th major title. He sustained a meniscus tear at Roland Garros and underwent surgery in Paris shortly after.
Less than six weeks post-surgery, Djokovic’s performance on Sunday was not at its peak, partly due to Alcaraz’s stellar play.
