President Joe Biden has announced a series of security and accountability measures in response to the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
During a Pennsylvania rally where a bullet narrowly missed Trump’s ear and a bystander was killed, President Biden ordered an independent review of national security. He stated that the findings of this review will be shared with the American public.

In addition to the review, congressional committees in the House and Senate have announced plans to conduct their own investigations.
Furthermore, President Biden instructed the head of the Secret Service to review all security measures ahead of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, set to commence on Monday.
Although Trump considered delaying the convention by two days, he ultimately decided against it, stating, “I cannot allow a ‘shooter’ or potential assassin to dictate any changes to the schedule or otherwise.”
