Former NFL wide receiver and special teams player Jacoby Jones has passed away at the age of 40, just three days after his birthday. The cause of his death has not been disclosed. The Beaumont Renegades confirmed his passing, as Jones was hired as the head coach and offensive coordinator for the indoor football team set to debut in 2025. The NFL Players Association shared that Jones’ family announced he passed away peacefully at his home in New Orleans. The statement added that his family is asking for privacy and support during this difficult time. Jacoby Jones is remembered for his famous “Mile High Miracle” catch on Jan. 12, 2013, and for scoring two touchdowns in the Baltimore Ravens’ Super Bowl XLVII victory on Feb. 3, 2013. He made a game-tying 70-yard touchdown catch in a playoff game against the Denver Broncos and scored a 108-yard kickoff return in the Super Bowl. The Ravens expressed their deep sadness at his passing, highlighting his charismatic and joyful personality. Jones, who was an All-Pro returner and Pro Bowl selection in 2012, had a successful career with several NFL teams after being drafted by the Houston Texans in 2007. Former teammate J.J.
