New Orleans Saints right tackle Ryan Ramczyk will miss the entire 2024 season after being placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list on Thursday. Due to ongoing knee issues, this move was anticipated. As a vested veteran placed on the list before final roster cuts, Ramczyk’s season has come to an end. The 30-year-old Ramczyk only played 12 games in 2023 and had knee surgery during the offseason to address significant cartilage damage. He revealed last season that he had been managing cartilage issues for the past three seasons. Ramczyk was once considered one of the top offensive linemen in the league, playing 63 games over four regular seasons. He was named a first-team All-Pro in 2019 and received second-team recognition in 2018 and 2020. Although he only played in 10 games in 2021, he managed to appear in all 16 contests in 2022 with regular injections. Ramczyk has started all 101 games he has played in his seven-season career. Selected 32nd overall in the 2017 draft out of Wisconsin, he has been a mainstay for the Saints. New Orleans also placed defensive ends Chase Young and Tanoh Kpassagnon, tight end Juwan Johnson, and linebacker Nephi Sewell on the physically unable to perform list, and put receiver Chris Olave on the non-football injury list. Wideout Bub Means was activated from the non-football injury list. Young, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 draft with Washington, was a key offseason addition for the Saints. He suffered a significant knee injury in the middle of the 2021 season, impacting his performance. –Field Level Media
