Former Trump Organization executive Allen Weisselberg has been released from Rikers Island jail in New York City after serving time for lying under oath, confirmed by his lawyer and correction department officials.
The ex-chief financial officer at Donald Trump’s real estate company has been reunited with his family, according to his lawyer Seth Rosenberg, although no further details were provided.
The Department of Correction in the city did not disclose more information about Weisselberg’s release, confirming only that it is reflected in the online inmate database.

Weisselberg pleaded guilty in March to perjury during his testimony in a fraud lawsuit brought by New York’s attorney general against the former president.
He admitted to lying about the valuation of Trump’s Manhattan penthouse in his financial statements.
In exchange for pleading guilty to perjury, prosecutors agreed not to pursue any other charges related to his long-term employment with the Trump Organization.

“Allen Weisselberg accepted responsibility for his actions and is looking forward to moving on from this life-changing experience and returning to his family and retirement,” said his attorney Seth Rosenberg after his sentencing in April.
This was Weisselberg’s second time in jail. Last year, the 76-year-old served a 100-day sentence for tax evasion on $1.7 million in company benefits, including a rent-free Manhattan apartment and luxury vehicles.
Weisselberg, who worked for Trump’s family for almost five decades, testified twice in trials that did not go well for Trump, carefully avoiding implicating his boss in serious misconduct.
