...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT... The Montana Department of Environmental Quality has issued an air quality alert for several counties in Montana until 7AM 7/23/2024 due to elevated particulate levels from wildfire smoke. This alert will be updated again at 8AM 7/23/2024. An Air Quality Alert means that particulates have been trending upwards and may exceed the 24-hour National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) in the near future. As of 7AM, particulate levels in some areas are categorized as Unhealthy or Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups, while others are Moderate. Recommendations are provided based on the air quality levels.
