Most lines for the Missoula’s bus system are operating on their normal routes Thursday morning after the damaging wind storm in Missoula, but several lines are altered and one line is closed.
Mountain Line bus dispatchers said that as of 11 a.m. Thursday, routes 1,4,5,6,7,11 and 14 are running on their normal schedules, according to communications specialist Olga Kreimer.
Route 9, which serves Target Range and Community Hospital, is not running because of road obstacles and downed powerlines.
Route 12, which serves downtown, the University of Montana, Dornblaser Field and the South Hills is missing the inbound 39th Street and Barbara Lane stop because of a downed powerline. The outbound route is operating normally.
Route 2, which serves the Southgate Mall, Target and Downtown, is detouring to avoid a downed tree and power line on Scott Street and will miss the Scott Street and Sherwood Street stop, as well as the Phillips Street and Scott Street stop.

The storm event, which hit Missoula at around 9 p.m., created 80-mph wind gusts at the Missoula International Airport and caused widespread damage to western Montana. A weather station on Mount Sentinel recorded a 109-mph gust.
The Red Cross has taken over the Missoula County Elections Center at 140 North Russel St. for residents who need to charge their personal devices. It will also provide air conditioning and a shower (towel required), but no medical services.
