OpenAI is gearing up to launch a search engine fueled by artificial intelligence, potentially putting it in competition with Google. Known as SearchGPT, this new technology is the latest venture from the innovative tech company.
SearchGPT aims to combine AI with real-time information, drawing from transparent and relevant sources. This addresses a key concern following Google’s AI rollout, which had to backtrack due to inaccuracies. OpenAI’s approach involves prominently featuring and linking to publishers to enhance user experience.
According to OpenAI, the search engine has garnered support from major publishers like The Atlantic. CEO Nicholas Thompson expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the importance of valuing journalism in the digital landscape.
