There’s a rodeo on two days, freestyle motocross acrobatics twice a day for two days, a cornhole tournament, a pie-eating contest, a cake auction, live music by High Ore and country music band Little Texas. There’s Spanky Spangler’s last big stunt, too.
But like all years, the 4-H kids and their animals will likely steal the show at the Butte-Silver Bow County Fair in and outside the Butte Civic Center next Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
“The kids are the main part of the event,” said Josh O’Neill, a Butte-Silver Bow commissioner, Fair Board member and perhaps the fair’s biggest cheerleader. “This is our Super Bowl for them, if you will.
“This is the party that the community throws for that reason and all of our town is able to come and enjoy the event and have a good time,” he said. “We wouldn’t be having it if it wasn’t for the 4-H and all their hard work.”
