Former supporters of Amb. Nikki Haley who are now backing Vice President Kamala Harris have stated that they will not stop their support despite receiving a letter on behalf of Haley.
The group’s campaign, which initially supported Haley over former president Donald Trump through a PAC, shifted its focus to supporting President Joe Biden and now Harris after Haley’s primary loss.
Although Haley received nearly 20 percent support during the Republican primaries, she has since endorsed Trump.
In response to the letter, the group, known as PivotPAC, emphasized that their activities under the “Haley Voters for Harris” campaign are in compliance with the law and that they will continue to exercise their First Amendment rights without being silenced.
The group has received small donations and messages of support encouraging them to continue identifying as ‘Haley Voters For Harris’.

As the group focuses on appealing to those who supported Haley in the primaries, they plan to conduct messaging tests among center-right voters in swing states to determine the most effective approach following the Democratic ticket change.
The group’s director, Craig Snyder, expressed their intention to provide information and persuade center-right voters to consider Harris as a viable candidate, highlighting her career as a prosecutor and addressing potential criticisms of her from the left.
The group aims to replicate the success of their approach towards Biden by effectively communicating Harris’ record and combatting any negative perceptions.
Since the ticket change, the group has emphasized enthusiasm for their campaign, similar to the Harris campaign’s messaging.
Additionally, a former GOP lawmaker’s chief of staff has been brought on board to lead Republican outreach for the campaign.
Meanwhile, Haley defended her decision to support Trump while acknowledging the diverse opinions among her supporters and advocating for informed voting choices.
A recent poll showed a percentage of Republicans and independents supporting Harris over Trump, indicating a shift in support for the Democratic ticket.
