Mayfair Witches has released the first teaser trailer for Season 2, which includes a crossover with its sister series Interview With the Vampire. The trailer premiered during the Anne Rice Immortal Universe panel at San Diego Comic-Con on July 27, moderated by TV Insider’s own Damian Holbrook.
The panel started with Interview With the Vampire, the first series in the Immortal Universe on AMC. Participants included Sam Reid, Delainey Hayles, Assad Zaman, showrunner/executive producer Rolin Jones, and EP Mark Johnson, who discussed Season 2 and the upcoming Season 3. Following that, Alexandra Daddario, Tongayi Chirisa, Harry Hamlin, as well as new Mayfair stars Ben Feldman and Alyssa Jirrels, discussed Season 2 of their series, set to premiere in 2025 on AMC.
Along with the trailer, AMC introduced new cast members for the upcoming second season, which was filmed in New Orleans like Season 1. Gabriel Freilich, who played Felix in Interview With the Vampire Season 2, makes a brief appearance at the end of the video. Here’s what we know about Mayfair Witches Season 2.
Mayfair Witches Season 2 Trailer
At the end of Season 1, Daddario’s Rowan Fielding had given birth to Lasher (played by Jack Huston), a spirit connected to the Mayfair family for centuries. Lasher’s goal was to become flesh, and that was accomplished in the Season 1 finale.
The teaser for Season 2 shows a significant escalation of events. The action-packed trailer, narrated by Daddario’s Rowan, reveals her taking charge in New Orleans. Two vampires appear, one of whom confronts Ciprien (Chirisa), and the other being Felix, the fledgling vampire from the 2022 season finale of Interview With the Vampire. The trailer also shows Hamlin’s Cortland Mayfair being freed from his prison, confirming his survival.
“I arrived here like I was in a fairytale to meet my long-lost family,” Rowan declares. “And then found myself in this other world, like through the looking glass. It turns out I’m not who I thought I was. You have no idea what I have planned.” The trailer contains magical and gory elements, with flashes of Feldman and Jirrels’ characters as Rowan declares, “It needs to end. I will take care of it – of him.” Lasher makes an appearance with his face in Rowan’s hands.
