BOZEMAN — Cameron Wood began his BMX journey at a young age, winning a U.S. Open title for 7- and 8-year-olds at 6 and placing in the top eight at Grand Nationals multiple times by the age of 9. Wood thrived on competition and the thrill of winning, despite the pressure that came with it.
Wood’s passion for winning remains unchanged even after 14 years. He still experiences nervousness and pressure during competitions, fueled by his desire to come out on top.
Representing the United States in BMX racing at the Paris Olympics is a dream come true for Wood, who grew up in Bozeman. His journey to the Olympics was filled with challenges and sacrifices, making his selection to the team a proud moment shared with his family and supporters.
