Simone Biles and Sunisa Lee are aiming to secure another team gold medal in the gymnastics all-around event on Thursday.
Lee and Biles are two of the 24 athletes participating in the women’s all-around final at the Olympics on Thursday. The event will start at 12:15 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on Peacock.
Both Lee and Biles have previously triumphed in this event. Lee clinched gold at the 2020 Games with a score of 15.3 on the uneven bars, outperforming Rebeca Andrade, who took home the silver. Lee also earned a silver medal in the team event and a bronze in the uneven bars in 2020.

In 2020, Biles qualified for the all-around final but withdrew from the competition due to mental health concerns.
In 2016, she displayed a dominant performance to claim victory in the event, leading the scores on three of the four apparatuses.
Biles is widely recognized as the greatest gymnast in Olympic history, accumulating a total of eight medals, five of which are gold.
Considering the results of Tuesday’s team final, Biles, Lee, and Andrade are poised as the top contenders to secure a medal. Italy’s Alice D’Amato, coming off a strong team event, is another gymnast to watch for in the competition.
