A tragic incident occurred in the seaside town of Southport, England, where a British teenager has been charged with murder following a stabbing attack at a dance class. This devastating incident resulted in the deaths of three children and left 10 people injured.
The Merseyside Police announced that the 17-year-old suspect has been charged with three counts of murder in the tragic deaths of 6-year-old Bebe King, 7-year-old Elsie Dot Stancombe, and 9-year-old Alice Dasilva Aguiar. Additionally, the teenager faces 10 counts of attempted murder and possession of a bladed article.
Initially not named due to being a minor, the suspect appeared in court on Thursday where Liverpool Judge Andrew Menary identified him as Axel Rudakubana. Despite not being an adult yet, the suspect could be named as he is turning 18 next week.

Merseyside Police Chief Constable Serena Kennedy emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and collaboration with Lancashire Police and Counter Terrorism Policing North West continues to take place. Resources from across the North West are also being involved in the investigation.
Following the incident, it was reported that eight children were injured, with five in critical condition, along with two critically injured adults. The stabbing occurred during a Taylor Swift-themed event that promoted dance, yoga, and bracelet-making.
Taylor Swift expressed her shock and sympathy for the victims and their families on her Instagram Story, stating her deep sadness over the tragic loss of young lives.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday as the investigation progresses.
