The Magic City Blues Festival graced Montana Avenue for twenty years.
This weekend, the stage is set for Yee-Haw Hee-Haw, Western Days 2024 on a smaller platform.
An undisclosed music enthusiast purchased tickets to make this event free for all.
The Randall King Hard Livin’ Band bus and trailer were stationed on Montana Avenue near the original Blues Festival entrance.
The organizers of Yee-Haw Hee-Haw are the same as the Blues Festival, but this time it’s at a smaller location on North 25th Street.
The goal is to bring back live music along with some traditional entertainment.

Tim Goodridge, the mastermind behind the Blues Festival, described it as an outdoor nightclub-like event.
This year, they are transitioning from blues and rock to country and comedy.
Several bands will perform on the main stage on Friday and Saturday nights, while others will rock the stage inside Craft Local, along with a comedian.
The Goodridge family, who organized the Last Best Country Fest in 2015, anticipates a great turnout for the country music event.
The crew is gearing up for the Randall King band, who are scheduled to perform and conduct sound checks.
Red Weber, a member of the Randall King crew, expressed the camaraderie within the team to make the show a success.
After their August shows, the band is set for a three-week European tour.
Goodridge’s passion for hosting such events stems from his love for music and people coming together to celebrate.
