The Billings Mustangs secured a narrow 4-3 victory against the visiting Glacier Range Riders on Friday night at Dehler Park, making it two wins in a row for them.
The Mustangs (30-34 overall, 8-8 second half) leveled their ongoing six-game series with the Range Riders (32-32, 3-13) at 2-2, marking their second consecutive one-run win over Glacier after a 12-11 triumph on Thursday.
In a low-scoring game by Pioneer Baseball League standards, Glacier held a 2-0 lead over Billings going into the bottom of the sixth inning. However, Connor Denning and Gabe Wurtz scored off a wild pitch and an error, respectively, to tie the game by the end of the frame.
The Mustangs added two more runs in the seventh inning, with Blake Evans and Kyle Booker capitalizing on errors. Although the Range Riders scored a run in the eighth, making it 4-3, closer Jonathan Haab secured his fourth save of the season by retiring all three Glacier batters he faced in the ninth.
