According to a report from The Athletic, Los Angeles Rams’ standout wide receiver Puka Nacua had to leave practice early on Sunday due to his right knee being wrapped in ice. Nacua, aged 24, exited a joint practice with the Los Angeles Chargers after facing their defense and then remained on the sideline in full uniform with ice on his knee. Rams’ coach Sean McVay was unable to provide a reason for Nacua’s early departure after practice. The team will resume practice on Tuesday at their old facility in Thousand Oaks, Calif., following a day off on Monday. Nacua had an outstanding rookie season, recording 105 catches for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns while starting in all 17 games. As a fifth-round pick, he set NFL rookie records for receptions and receiving yards, earning himself a Pro Bowl appearance. The Rams are currently without three starting offensive linemen due to injuries: guard Jonah Jackson (bruised scapula) and tackles Rob Havenstein (foot) and Alaric Jackson (ankle), all of whom McVay has described as “week-to-week.” –Field Level Media
