Charles Jagusah, the offensive tackle for Notre Dame, will be sidelined for the entire upcoming season due to a torn right pectoralis muscle suffered during preseason camp, the school announced on Monday. Jagusah was slated to start at left tackle to fill in for Joe Alt, who had left the team. Instead, he will undergo surgery to repair the injury sustained on Saturday. Jagusah was set to make his first career start at left tackle after contributing to Notre Dame’s strong rushing performance in their previous game. A rising sophomore, Jagusah redshirted his freshman year and had a brief appearance before starting the Sun Bowl. With both starting tackles from last season gone to the NFL draft, Jagusah’s injury poses a challenge for Notre Dame. Additionally, the team revealed that walk-on defensive back Marty Auer tore his left ACL and will also miss the 2024 season. –Field Level Media
