In just a matter of days, An Ri Ra, Butte’s annual Irish festival, will be in full swing and audiences will be applauding the dancers and the musical acts performing on the Original Mine stage.
The accolades are justified. The dancers are always superb and, without fail, the music is first-class.
The volunteers, those who work tirelessly behind the scenes, deserve accolades, as well, but they don’t see it that way. Collectively, they all feel that “if you do it for the accolades, you’re doing it for the wrong reason.”
