Democrats are showing strong support for presidential nominee Kamala Harris and her newly announced running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
Individuals who were previously considered as Harris’ running mate also voiced their support. Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro stated, “Over the next 90 days, I look forward to traveling all across the Commonwealth to unite Pennsylvanians behind my friends Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and defeat Donald Trump.”
Harris and Walz will rely on Shapiro’s support in Pennsylvania, a key state with 19 electoral votes.

Sen. Mark Kelly, another contender for Harris’ running mate, pledged his support for the Democratic ticket, stating, “Vice President @KamalaHarris and Governor @Tim_Walz are going to move us forward.” Kelly said on X.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear expressed his honor at being considered for VP and fully supports the new ticket.
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg praised Tim Walz, saying, “Tim Walz is an exceptionally effective governor – and also great to work with.” he said.
