Arthur Cadre, a versatile and talented individual, will have a significant role in the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics on Sunday. He is skilled in breakdancing, acrobatics, and circus arts, among other talents. Â
Coming from a sporting background with his mother being part of the French volleyball team and his father competing in the 1988 Seoul Olympics, Cadre was drawn to breakdancing at a young age. He later incorporated contortion, acrobatics, circus arts, ballet, tap-dancing, and freerunning into his repertoire.Â
In addition to his physical abilities, Cadre is also a photographer, model, architecture graduate, and director, attracting a large online following and performing globally in cities like Montreal, Macau, and Dubai.Â
Preparing for Sunday’s ceremony at the Stade de France, Cadre describes the show as a unique experience for audiences, promising a mix of visual effects and storytelling. Â
Artistic director Thomas Jolly granted Cadre creative freedom in developing his character for the performance, suggesting a blend of wonder and dystopia, different from the opening ceremony’s tone. Hollywood star Tom Cruise is also expected to make an appearance with a daring stunt involving the Olympic flag.Â
