MontanaFair kicked off on Friday evening with Sneak A Peak, opening its gates at 4 p.m. for the eight-day fair.
MetraPark is planning to add approximately 3,500 seats to compensate for the 5,000 to 6,000 seats lost due to the demolition of the grandstands in 2020.
While a final decision has not been made, there is a possibility of building bleachers east of the Expo Center.

He reminisced about the excitement of car racing, horse racing, rodeos, and his first concert in the grandstand in the 1960s.
Yellowstone County commissioners and MetraPark aim to replace the old grandstand demolished in 2020 with new bleachers for future events like the rodeo.
The MetraPark marketing director, Reitz, shared plans for bleachers to be ready for next year’s MontanaFair, with site civil services provided by WWC Engineering.
Heritage Park is one of the new features at this year’s MontanaFair, designed to be a family-friendly area with shade, park benches, food vendors, and a stage.
Both Reitz and Peters are enthusiastic about the potential for new outdoor events at MetraPark in the future.
