New York Giants rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. had to be taken off the field in a cart on Tuesday due to a potential serious non-contact injury to his right leg, as reported by multiple sources. The injury occurred during a special teams drill, and trainers placed an air cast on his leg before he was taken to the locker room. Tracy, 24, had five carries for 26 yards in the Giants’ preseason game, a 14-3 victory against the Detroit Lions last Thursday. He was drafted by the Giants in the fifth round of the April draft and is currently listed as the third running back on the depth chart, standing at 5-foot-10 and weighing 210 pounds. Tracy began his college football career at Iowa and completed it at Purdue, with 716 rushing yards in 2023, including three 100-yard games, and 1,270 all-purpose yards, including 408 from kick returns. –Field Level Media
