Hospital honored by heart association

Peter’s Health was recognized by the association with the “Get with the Guidelines” Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) NSTEMI Silver with Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll and the Get with the Guidelines Rural CAD STEMI Bronze.
Like all heart attacks, this requires timely treatment to restore blood flow as quickly as possible.
The American Heart Association’s Target Type 2 Diabetes program aims to ensure patients with Type 2 diabetes who might be at higher risk for complications receive the most up-to-date, evidence-based care when hospitalized due to a stroke.
“Get with the Guidelines” is the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s hospital-based quality improvement program that provides hospitals with the latest research-based guidelines. Developed to save lives and hasten recovery, “Get with the Guidelines” has touched the lives of more than 14 million patients since 2001.
