The WNBA and Delta Airlines have joined forces in a multiyear partnership to continue the league’s charter flight program, following a successful inaugural year.
After persistent efforts, the WNBA secured a partnership with Delta for its first charter flight program starting in the 2024 season and continuing into the 2025 season, with an investment of approximately $50 million from the commission.
The extended partnership will see all 12 teams of the league being transported via the charter flight program throughout the regular season and playoffs under a multiyear agreement, as per the official announcement.

Delta will now hold the title of the Official Airline Partner of the WNBA.
Over the years, many athletes have voiced concerns about the safety of commercial flights, citing the need for bodyguards, long security lines at airports, and limited legroom, especially for players averaging a height of 6 feet.
The NBA first introduced its charter flight program back in 1997.
