Despite the absence of royalty in American politics, there is one queen who can captivate the American political stage like no other, and that’s Queen Bey.
Prior to the final night of the Democratic National Convention, speculation arose about a surprise performance by Beyoncé. Many anticipated that she would close the four-day event with a rendition of “Freedom,” her 2016 hit that has become synonymous with the Harris-Walz campaign.
While delegates dressed in the theme of Beyoncé’s latest album “Cowboy Carter” may have been disappointed by her absence, the Grammy Award-winning artist’s song played as 100,000 balloons showered the crowd, with Harris, Doug Emhoff, Tim Walz, and Gwen taking their bows on stage.
Although Beyoncé and Taylor Swift did not make an appearance, other celebrities did grace the stage, including the Chicks, Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, Pink, Eva Longoria, and DL Hughley.
These notable figures added a touch of glamor and excitement to the final night of the DNC, showcasing their talents and voicing their thoughts on politics, society, and the upcoming election.
