BOZEMAN — Montana State University’s Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity is gearing up for their annual testicle festival.
“Being able to contribute to it, attend it, enjoy some great music for a reasonable price, especially knowing it all goes to a great cause,” said Jack Yore, a senior member of AGR.
The AGR fraternity is ready for their Testy Fest, a country music concert where rocky mountain oysters take center stage as the main snack.
“We’re frying up rocky mountain oysters, also known as calf fries or calf nuts,” explained Yore, demonstrating the cooking process.
“Coat it, dip it back in the egg wash, coat it again, and then we fry them up,” Yore added.
Yore and the members of AGR appreciate the support from the Bozeman community for this event.
“We understand that paying for a concert can be tough sometimes, and we truly rely on everyone’s participation,” he mentioned.
Testy Fest goes beyond just music; all proceeds benefit various charities that aid veterans, youth, and agriculture in Montana.
“It’s going to be a great event, and we aim to raise as much money as possible to support organizations that help our community in Bozeman,” said Avery Kenny, AGR philanthropy chair.
For those not interested in trying rocky mountain oysters?
“If you’re not up for trying the oysters, no problem. If you’re here for the concert, that’s what matters,” Kenny reassured.
Testy Fest takes place on Friday, September 13 at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman.
“Expect a large turnout and plenty of bull testicles,” Jack added.
