Helena’s Alive at Five is gearing up for its 27th season through the support of the community even though it was on the verge of being canceled due to the dissolving of its previous host, Downtown Helena Inc., at the beginning of the year.
Events start June 19 at Women’s Park at 5 p.m. with music by The Good, The Bad and The Blues. It’s slated as part of a Juneteenth celebration, with other activities planned in the city.
The free live weekly Wednesday music event in Helena now has 25 business sponsors, with two of the diamond sponsors being Lewis and Clark Brewing Co. and Rocky Mountain Credit Union, organizers said.
Other sponsors include Capital City Health Club, Helena Indian Alliance, Dick Anderson Construction and more.
It also has roughly 20 individual “Alive at Five” sponsors, which are community members who don’t own a business, but wanted to show their support for the event.
