In the past 15 years, a young couple moved to Columbus and started a small business. They later had a baby boy and we became friends through Project Hope.
The husband didn’t speak English well, but his wife was fluent. They trusted a lawyer in New York to help with their immigration papers, but the lawyer took their money and did nothing. As a result, the husband was arrested by the feds and sent to prison in Arizona, leaving his wife to raise their child alone.
After a couple of years, my friends and I wrote letters to Sen. Jon Tester asking for help. He intervened and the husband returned to Montana. Jon is a true Montanan who cares about our state’s people.
Why would we want a wealthy individual from Minnesota, living in a luxurious lake house, attending private school, and suddenly claiming to represent us in Washington, when we have Jon?
I will continue to support Jon.
