The Missoula PaddleHeads clinched their first series win of the season Sunday with a 21-18 road triumph over the Idaho Falls Chukars.
Zootown’s Pioneer League pro baseball team improved to 4-2 with its fourth win in five games. The Chukars fell to 2-4, with wins in the series opener and on Saturday night.
Missoula jumped to a 5-1 lead in the top of the second, then fell victim to an eight-run uprising by the hosts in the bottom half. Idaho Falls led 17-14 after five innings but the PaddleHeads scored twice in the sixth and five times in the seventh to seize control.
Missoula piled up 21 hits to 19 for Idaho Falls. Outfielder Adam Fogel had a monster game for the PaddleHeads with two home runs, a double, a single and eight RBIs. Teammate Kamron Willman had a home run, three singles and six RBIs.
