Jerry Joseph & the Jackmormons 20th anniversary vinyl release show: “Mouthful of Copper” (2024 deluxe edition), 7 p.m. doors, 8 p.m. show, Friday, May 31. Portland’s Jerry Joseph is a “triple-threat,” a prolific and accomplished songwriter, a powerful singer and a memorable performer. In his four-decade career as a solo artist, with the Jackmormons, supergroup Stockholm Syndrome, his two-piece The Denmark Veseys, his beloved ’80s cult band, LittleWomen, or most recently with Drive-By Truckers backing him; he has continuously toured the world, including such unlikely locales as Lebanon, Israel, Kurdish Iraq, India, Cambodia and Afghanistan, and released a steady stream of albums. $20 in advance, $30 day of show.

OGCT 10/24 Play Festival, 5:30 p.m. doors, 6 p.m. show, Saturday, June 1. Ten writers will draw play suggestions out of a hat and write for up to 12 hours. Ten directors will be handed those plays to cast, direct and produce in the next 12 hours. Actors, stage managers, technicians will all work together under strict time restraints to create new theater! These 10 short plays will have their world premiere just 24 hours after the playwright begins writing. Come see what creative genius looks like under pressure. Coral Grief with At Nadir & The Pond, 6 p.m. doors, 8 p.m. show, Thursday, June 6. Coral Grief is a Seattle based dream pop band, formed by Lena Farr-Morrissey and Sam Fason in January 2020. Crafting surreal, playful and catchy songs, the group’s sound generates reverie with intense focus, built upon a krautrock pastiche and brought to life by drummer Cam Hancock’s dynamic sensibilities. Ambient guitars and weaving synths create the space for Farr-Morrissey’s melodies and Fason’s guitar work to flourish. Tickets $10 in advance and $15 day of show.
