RED LODGE, Mont. – Yellowstone National Park has officially announced that the Beartooth Highway (US 212) is now open from Red Lodge to Cook City.
It is important to note that road closures can occur at any time, so travelers are advised to have flexible travel plans and to be aware of quickly changing weather conditions.

RED LODGE, Mont. – Beartooth Highway is set to fully reopen on Saturday, June 1.
The Beartooth Highway is situated east of Yellowstone National Park’s Northeast entrance, running between Red Lodge and Cooke City.
As of now, the highway is partially open, spanning 19 miles from Red Lodge to Vista Point, according to a social media announcement by Yellowstone National Park.
Crews are currently working to clear 6-foot deep wet, heavy snow on the highway.
Originally scheduled to open on May 24, the reopening was delayed due to a significant snowstorm in the area.
After the reopening, there may still be temporary travel restrictions or closures occurring without prior notice. Drivers are urged to remain adaptable in their planning and to monitor rapidly changing weather conditions closely.
