(AP) — Oregon officials have decided to close the entire coastline of the state to mussel harvesting following an outbreak of shellfish poisoning described as “unprecedented.” Parts of the Oregon coast have also been prohibited from harvesting razor clams, bay clams, and oysters. The Oregon Health Authority reported that paralytic shellfish poisoning has affected at least 20 individuals. They are requesting those who have harvested or consumed Oregon shellfish since May 13 to complete a survey to assist in identifying the cause of the outbreak and the extent of the illnesses. The detection of high toxin levels in shellfish along the coast occurred around two weeks ago.

The official Xinhua News Agency announced that the landing module touched down Sunday morning in Beijing time. This mission is the sixth in the Chang’e moon exploration program and the second aimed at bringing back samples. China’s moon program is part of an escalating rivalry with the U.S. and other countries like Japan and India in the realm of space exploration.
