A cold front from the Pacific is moving eastward, bringing showers and thunderstorms to much of the state until tonight. Temperatures are dropping from west to east, with highs ranging from the upper 40s to low 60s in the west and mid 70s to low 80s in the east. Strong west to northwest winds will follow this system and last until Wednesday. High Wind Warnings and Wind Advisories are in effect for parts of north central and northeastern Montana, with wind gusts expected to reach 45 to 65 mph. A Wind Advisory for 45 mph gusts will end in western Montana by 9pm, while wind gusts could reach 80 mph in the high plains and Rocky Mountain Front on Tuesday.
