The high school golf season for Class AA and Class A takes place in the fall, while for Class B/C it’s in the spring.
The All-Area Player of the Year for the IR coverage area is announced in the spring, with this year’s honoree being Tyson Lee who played a key role in Jefferson Panthers winning the Class B boys state golf championship.
The Panthers had three golfers earn all-state honors in Class B, securing the team title. Lee finished third at state and also performed well in other tournaments throughout the season.
