The Helena Regional Sports Association will be hosting a discussion about the ARC Sporting and Events Complex from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on June 12 at the exhibit hall of the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds, located at 98 W. Custer Ave.
The discussion will focus on how this facility will have a positive impact by boosting the local economy, bringing indoor sports and entertainment to the region, adding indoor swimming pools, providing health and wellness benefits for residents of all ages, and improving the overall quality of life in our community.
The proposed complex by the Helena Regional Sports Association includes a 150,000-square-foot facility with a 79,000-square-foot indoor arena, a natatorium with sport and therapy pools, a 12,500-seat arena, two turf fields, a fieldhouse with team rooms, an administration area, and support spaces.
A recent feasibility study conducted for the association shows that this complex could generate over $26 million and attract 97,000 overnight visitors annually, support 330 jobs, and generate $12.9 million in income each year.
It is important to note that the plans for the complex are still in the preliminary stages.
