Runners participated in the 50th anniversary of the Governor’s Cup in Helena on Saturday, taking on a variety of races.
A total of 2,371 runners joined the event, with participants in the marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, marathon relay, and fun run, according to officials from race sponsors Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana.
This year marked the largest field since 2016.
Organizers expressed their gratitude for the tremendous support from the Helena community during the celebration of the event’s 50th anniversary. The enthusiasm and cheers from spectators along the courses and at the finish line added to the positive atmosphere.
