MISSOULA — The Montana Grizzlies added a veteran presence to their offensive line through the transfer portal.
Central Michigan transfer Cade Klimczak announced his commitment to UM via social media on Saturday. He wrote “Committed! Go Griz!” and posted a photo of himself wearing a Griz uniform inside Washington-Grizzly Stadium.
Klimczak played in 26 games and made five starts over the past five years at left guard and right guard. CMU competes in the Mid-American Conference, a Group of Five conference in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
Klimczak was listed at 6-foot-2 and 285 pounds last season. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
He was a three-time Academic All-MAC honoree at CMU. He started college as a walk-on and worked his way to a scholarship.

Klimczak chose UM over offers from FCS teams Eastern Kentucky, Illinois State, Austin Peay and Eastern Illinois. He also had offers from NCAA Division II teams Tiffin and Grand Valley State.
On Thursday, the Griz got a commitment from Dane Parker, a safety who spent 2023 at Air Force Prep School. He has four years of eligibility left.
Parker was a 3-star athlete, per 247Sports, coming out of Puyallup High School in Washington. He had chosen Air Force Prep over Army, Idaho, Portland State, Yale and Penn
