BILLINGS — The 45th Anniversary of the Heart and Sole Run is Saturday here.
The event features a 2-mile health walk, 5K and the Road Runners Club of America State Championship 10K. Heart and Sole kicks off with the 10K at 7:45 a.m., followed by the 5K at 8:35 a.m., and the 2-mile health walk will start at 8:45 a.m. The 10K will start at St. Francis Catholic Middle School on 2022 Colton Blvd, while the 5K and the 2-mile will start near St. Vincent Healthcare at Grandview Park. All races finish at Dehler Park, home of the Billings Mustangs.
Live race fees for adults are $35 for the 10K, $35 for the 5K, and $30 for the 2-mile walk. Live race fees for children ages 8 and under are $30 for the 10K and 5K, and $25 for the 2-mile. All Virtual Races are $30. Registration prices increase by $5 after June 12. People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to take part, and proceeds from the race will benefit the YMCA and Billings area trails.

The Montana Active Life Festival greets race finishers and the public on the Dehler Park concourse from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The festival will feature music, interactive booths, kids events, and family fun. Additionally, the festival will include its first car show in the Dehler Park parking lot. The Kids Run the Bases with Artie will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and is free for kids under the age of 12.
