BOZEMAN — Taylor Housewright, former Montana State offensive coordinator, has been hired by Georgia Southern as a senior offensive analyst.
The news was originally reported by FootballScoop last month. Although Georgia Southern hasn’t officially announced the hiring yet, Housewright has been listed as one of their football coaches on their website.
Housewright was set to become the OC at Akron in January, but ultimately did not join the Zips as he reportedly took a step back from coaching. Montana State University replaced him with tight ends coach Tyler Walker.

During his time as the OC/quarterbacks coach for the Bobcats from 2021-23, Housewright led prolific offenses. He was suspended for the first game of the last season after being charged with and found guilty of driving under the influence.
Georgia Southern competes in the Sun Belt Conference of the Football Bowl Subdivision, which is one level above the Football Championship Subdivision where Montana State University plays.
