BUTTE — The Dillon Beavers had a remarkable 2023-24 school year that will be hard to forget.
They started by winning the state football championship with a perfect 11-0 season in the fall, followed by the boys’ basketball team winning their first title since 2016-17 in the winter.

Seven years after the previous dual championship, the Beavers replicated the feat of winning state titles in football and basketball in the same year. This marked the fourth time since 2006 that Dillon achieved this (2006-07, 2011-12, 2016-17, and 2023-24).
This week, four players from the Beavers’ football title team – Cooper Anderson, Kee Christiansen, Max Davis, and Landen Peterson – will play together one last time in the 77th annual Montana East-West Shrine Game.
“It’s amazing,” Davis expressed about playing with his teammates in the Shrine Game.
“Having played with these guys for so long, having a great season, winning a state championship, and now getting to play with them one more time, it’s simply incredible,” he added.
