Montana – Today, the state experienced a another day of sunshine and above-average temperatures! With very low winds and almost no cloud cover, the high temperatures felt even warmer than they actually were.

The windiest conditions were in the eastern plains, with gusts up to 22 mph. The weather tonight is expected to remain stable with dry, clear, and mild conditions – perfect for an outdoor dinner!

Our satellite radar indicates clear conditions overnight with no expected precipitation, except for a chance of rain between 5 and 8 am in the Kalispell area. Showers are expected to develop in central Montana early Saturday morning and in western Montana by mid-morning.

There is a possibility of showers over the weekend and into the next week. High winds are expected to return to the Cut Bank area on Saturday with gusts up to 65 mph possible, as a trough of low pressure brings a cooling trend.

A High Wind Watch has been issued for the Cut Bank area for Sunday afternoon and evening, with potential gusts of up to 65 mph. Tonight’s temperatures will remain mild in the 50s, with daytime highs reaching the 80s and 90s again tomorrow.

This Father’s Day Weekend is forecasted to have cooler temperatures with scattered rain and thunder showers. Temperatures are expected to slightly warm up by the middle of the week, with highs back into the 70s.

From Monday afternoon to Tuesday evening, mountain passes in western Montana, such as MacDonald and Homestake, may receive several inches of snow, with 5 to 10 inches possible – we will continue to monitor this storm with the most accurate models.
