Another intense game unfolded as the Indiana Fever faced off against the Chicago Sky on Sunday, resulting in a 91-83 victory for Indiana.
Fans filled the Gainbridge Fieldhouse to witness the highly anticipated rematch between former college standouts Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, adding to the regional rivalry.
The tensions rose when Clark hit Dana Evans’ arm in the first half, and Reese made contact with Clark’s head in the third quarter. Following a review, the call on Reese was upgraded to a flagrant-1.
The crowd cheered for Carter and Reese whenever either player drew a foul. Reese showed signs of frustration when she received her fifth foul, leading to a delay of game warning for arguing with the referees.
Clark ended the game with 22 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds, while Reese contributed with 11 points, 13 rebounds, and five assists.
