Since the renowned crime fiction writer James Lee Burke introduced Louisiana detective Dave Robicheaux in “The Neon Rain” in 1987, Dave has almost always been accompanied by Cletus Purcel.
During their early days as New Orleans police officers, Dave and Clete were known as the Bobbsey Twins from Homicide. While their career paths diverged, their friendship remained a strong bond.
